As you grow older you have a higher risk of falling. Falls are also more likely to cause serious injuries in older people.
Debbie Sanders, RN from the Union-Snyder Agency on Aging, Inc. and Ashley Geiser, Community Health and Wellness Instructor from Evangelical Community Hospital, will be presenting a program on fall prevention. You will learn what your risk of falling is, and what healthy steps you can take to prevent falls and stay active. Anyone over age 50 may attend, but the program is especially valuable for people age 60 and older. Participants may reside in any county, not restricted to only Union or Snyder.
This program will be offered on Tuesday, September 16, 9:00 am – 12:30 pm, at Evangelical Community Health and Wellness Center, 7095 West Branch Hwy. (Route 15), Lewisburg, PA 17837.
The program is free and includes fall risk screening, a book, healthy snacks, and door prizes. To register, call the Union-Snyder Agency on Aging, Inc. at 570-524-2100, Mon- Fri, 8:30 am – 4:00 pm.
