Center Participant Celebrates 105th Birthday

The Penns Creek Adult Resource Center celebrated Grace Kovacs’ birthday on Monday, November 16 (her birthday being November 15)—her 105thbirthday.  Absolutely awe inspiring! How many people do you know have turned 105?  Amazing is what folks at Penns Creek call Grace Kovacs—“Amazing” Grace.  She helps folks at her table, still participates in exercises with Angie Haines from the YMCA, plays aggravation (even giving tips on how to play with a strategy in mind), rummikub, wheel of fortune and remembers so much of history that we can only read about.  Grace is an encouragement to the folks and will tell you to keep on moving ahead.  She said she has gotten to do a lot of things in her lifetime and enjoys her family which should be very important in one’s life—and don’t forget to eat your oatmeal and don’t ever give up, no matter what you’re facing.  Grace is an amazing, encouraging person that we should all take after and look up to.  In addition to her birthday celebration, Grace was also featured on the local news!  Please see the link below to learn more about this ‘Amazing’ woman!
