This program, developed by Memorial BrainWorks in South Bend, Indiana, won a national award from the American Society of Aging and the MetLife Foundation in 2013.
Selinsgrove GrandBuddies will pair older adults with fifth graders. Together they will learn about the brain and what keeps it healthy and take active steps to improve their health. Through a series of activities, the children learn about the aging process and develop positive relationships with another generation. The adults have an opportunity to share their wisdom and experience with a new friend and learn something about themselves in the process.
The meeting dates are:
June 19, 5-8pm
June 26. 1-4 pm
July 10. 1-4 pm
August 10. 1-4pm
