APPRISE Volunteer Celebrates 20 Years of Service

Initially, Sally had called for spouse Larry to see if he was interested in becoming a meals driver. Sally also asked Ethel Ann if she was interested in becoming an APPRISE Volunteer.  Her years of service began when Marietta Raker provided Ethel Ann with insurance training.  Ethel Ann continued providing Medicare insurance counseling under the direction of Marilyn Smith and then Donna Hollenbach.  Over the last few years she transitioned over to completing PA Property Tax and Rent Rebates for Medicare beneficiaries and volunteering with the PA Senior Market Farmer Voucher program and Senior Expo’s.  She is currently providing administrative support to the APPRISE program working with APPRISE Coordinator’s Lyn Mathias and Jessica Cohick out of the Penns Creek office.  Ethel Ann is now serving on the Union-Snyder Agency on Aging Board of Directors.  She was recently awarded with a Certificate of Appreciation at the annual APPRISE Volunteer Recognition Luncheon at Country Cupboard in Lewisburg.
